EpiCal app for iPhone and iPad

This mobile application combines a selection of the most frequently needed epidemiological calculations, such as measures of effect and association, diagnostic test evaluation, and sample size calculations. The App includes calculations of relative risk and odds ratios, risk difference and population attributable fraction, among others. Diagnostic sensitivity and specificity, predictive values and likelihood ratios can be calculated from 2x2 tables, and the effect of prevalence on thes parameters visualised in graphs. Sample size calculations for trials are made easy by this tool, as is the calculation of sample size required for detection of a condition, or disease, as well as for detecting differences.
